PUMH, a life enrichment community, is committed to fostering an exceptional quality of life and promoting fitness, health and wellness for all residents. The PUMH Foundation administers the solicitation, receipt and stewardship of charitable gifts to assure that community needs continue to be met and services are provided in keeping with our mission.

The Foundation operates with a broad spectrum of partners who share its vision. Donors include residents and their families, friends, employees, vendors, corporations and other private foundations, all important to the success of a campaign. This year, the Foundation concluded three capital campaigns to revitalize our health centers and to move toward a culture change, focusing on person centered care so that residents have the opportunity to live their lives as fully as they can.

Country House
The final phase of the health center campaign was completed, with a new dining room and activity space, new flooring, rooms enlarged and bathrooms reconfigured to improve accessibility. The transformed neighborhood was christened Rodney Gardens.

Manor House
The campaign was completed to renovate our health center to create the warm ambience of home. The Rehoboth and Lewes Wings, St. Luke’s Chapel and public spaces received new flooring, ceilings, lighting, plumbing, spas, furnishings and window and wall treatments.

Cokesbury Village
The campaign revitalized the health center to be more inviting and comfortable. Public spaces and resident rooms received new lighting, furnishings and flooring. The main living room was enhanced by a large skylight outdoor scene that changes with the seasons.

Other Foundation projects included administration of community scholarship programs, charitable gift annuity seminars, Mother’s Day and Cornerstone Fund appeals.
